With this site you can find out whether or not a company is still active within the Commonwealth of Virginia if you need to pursue that company for a commercial debt. This site also provides the registered agent for each company, which is necessary when filing any legal action.

The Department of Defense's Service Members Web Site allows you to verify whether or not the individual you are pursuing is active military personal before issuing any civil actions. Military personal must be handled differently in the civil process with regard to process of service issues. You will need the individual's name and social security number to accurately verify whether the individual is a service member.

The free inmate locator web site allows you to verify whether or not the individual you are pursuing is incarcerated in a Virginia Correctional Facility. You may verify information by name or by inmate number. If you debtor is incarcerated, you cannot initiate any legal action.
